I recognize that the future viability of our Jewish community is wholly dependent on planned lifetime and estate
giving to
fund endowments.
The dramatic success of the Foundation in promoting and precipitating planned
giving is a legacy to the Jacksonville Jewish community that will far outlive the bricks and mortar we witness
about us today. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Foundation's planting the seeds of future giving through
its B'nai Tzedek program in which B'nai Mitzvah teens are experiencing the joy of philanthropy through the establishment
of their own charitable "foundation" funded by dedicating a portion of their B'nai Mitzvah gifts and
a matching grant from the Foundation."
